Homemade Chili Seasoning

1 Oct

Maybe it’s because we’re trying to save money, but making mixes from scratch has become one of my new favorite hobbies. Apparently it’s the new trend, because everyone is hopping on the make-it-yourself bandwagon. I got this recipe from here. It’s is one of my favorite sites for my mixes, they have everything!

This homemade chili seasoning can also be used in a ton of different dishes. Gotta love versatility!

Ingredients:
2/3 cup all-purpose flour
3 1/2 cups minced dry onions
1 1/4-2 cups chili powder
1/2 cup dried minced garlic
3 T oregano
3 T salt
2 T cumin
Red pepper flakes to taste

Just mix it all up and store in an airtight container. I use a quart-sized mason jar and it works out perfectly.
